Bulerias Alzapua Lesson

Learning to do double time alzapua in the rhythm of bulerias is one way to really hone the technique. I encourage every student to try this falseta and keep it as an exercise practiced at slower tempos. If you include this in a daily practice regimen, one day you will be able to play it at tempo or even faster if necessary. Scroll down to see all 4 videos for this lesson Enjoy!!

A discussion about Palmas for Bulerias

This is a brief discussion of palmas for bulerias in response to a discussion over www.foroflamenco.com and it is an attempt to make a distinction between what the palmas in bulerias do versus the often misinterpreted 12,3,6,8,10 or ,7,8,10 accents. The job of the palams is not to provide those standard accents. The palmas are a musical instrument that grooves as a percussion instrument should. I hope it helps to clarify things a bit.
